140 Years of Highwood

Highwood 140

Experience Highwood. Tell its stories. Continue the Legacy.

Highwood 140 will be a community-wide celebration, bringing together local organizations, businesses, residents, and volunteers to honor our history and create new memories.

Throughout 2027, a variety of initiatives and events will celebrate the people, places, cultures, and traditions that have shaped Highwood over 140 years. Some will bring the community together, others will preserve stories that might otherwise be lost, and still others will create something lasting for future generations.

Continue to watch this page for our schedule of events.

There’s lots to do in preparation for the festivities and we would love your help.

Highwood is still becoming.

Highwood’s immigrant heritage is not simply part of its past. It lives in the businesses, food, celebrations and relationships that make our city distinctive today.
