Choose Highwood for its walkable streets, mix of housing and commercial properties, public transportation, access to Lake Michigan and, of course, its amazing downtown. Hang out with the “Joneses” at one of Highwood’s many local restaurants, entertainment venues or events.
Just over 400 acres in size, Highwood can be compared to many big cities with its culture, diversity, events and amenities. When the warm weather sets in, the streets and parks come alive with people socializing outdoors at their favorite pub or gathering at one of Highwood’s many festivals.
The Highwood Chamber of commerce, continues to work to connect businesses, provide education and build community. Our goal is to promote and stimulate partnerships and growth between area organizations and works to create and deliver member value through engagement. Simply stated, we help people make meaningful connections that drive results.
To help our member businesses, we provide a variety of networking, educational and social opportunities. In additional, we host several special events including “Girls Night Out”, “Trick or Treat Downtown Highwood” and “Highwood Wine & Beer Walk” that work to promote our eclectic mix of downtown businesses and drive business to their stores.
I want to encourage you to get involved in the community and your chamber by joining our members who generously volunteer their time to help shape this organization. In turn, these volunteers create long lasting, meaningful relationships often resulting in new business. We believe Highwood is one of the best communities on the North Shore and through our efforts we will help it continue to grow and prosper.
I invite you to take a closer look at your Chamber and everything it has to offer. We hope you will join us and Choose Highwood.
